After sitting on the runway for one hour, it was hard to imagine we would ever arrive in Italy. Upon arrival, the Dulles 8 huddled together in a corner of a café and offered ideas of what each other thought the next month of our lives would entail. While I don’t think every prediction came true, one did for sure; that we would all leave being closer than before. I have enjoyed connecting with others within my major. I feel that there is a system of support within the SMAD department now as we are all bonded by this month-long experience of navigating Urbino. Thank you to Susan West for letting me cry whenever I was overwhelmed, the Basili for its soy cappuccino, Liza Moore for being the best story partner, Cau & Spada for an amazing experience every visit, and Sandra at Bosom Pub for her free candy shots.
