Living in Urbino for the past few weeks has been an incredible experience that not many students receive while studying abroad. Not studying in the center of a busy city allowed me to immerse myself in Italian culture on a deeper level as I met locals and built a routine within the Renaissance walls of Urbino. On train rides back from more well known areas of Italy, both myself and friends on the program found ourselves excited to return to the tranquility of Urbino after enduring the hustle and bustle of larger cities. Despite the difficulty language barriers may pose, reporting in a foreign country has been a highlight within my career as a journalism student.
