The city of Urbino welcomes you into its steep walls with open arms but forces you to put in the effort to learn about what it has to offer. The winding maze of steep cobbled streets around the Piazza della Repubblica holds something special at each turn. Whether it be the exciting college town nightlife or any one of the delicious osterias, no one should find themselves bored in Urbino. This trip required me to employ time management skills in order to balance exploration, interviewing, and reporting work. I’ve met some wonderful people working with both the university interpreters and the citizens of Urbino, and plan to carry those friendships with me back to the states. The opportunity to put oneself into and actively learn all there is to know about a unique environment such as Urbino is a privilege that I am forever grateful to have experienced.
